“Herman connects pieces of consumer stories and instinctively sees the connecting dots to market trends and where the opportunities for the brand’s business are” — Eduardo Mapa, CEO, Digital Arts Network Manila, TBWA
As head of social media and public relations for Lenovo’s Android and Chrome computing business group, Herman Cheng recently generated a lot of buzz around the company’s latest innovations. In fact, Lenovo was recently chosen by the prestigious tech industry website, Tom’s Guide, as the most innovative company of 2016.
This strong brand awareness was largely thanks to Cheng who, together with Google and Qualcomm, led a successful global launch of Lenovo’s Phab 2 Pro, the world’s first Tango-enabled smartphone, with press coverage that amounted to over 6,200 articles worldwide and social media buzz that encompassed 482,000 social engagements and 26,700 mentions. With similar success, Cheng was the main PR and social media lead for the launch of Lenovo’s critically acclaimed Yoga Book, which led to 31 industry-award wins from top-ranked media publications.
Cheng, as a passionate advocate of collaboration and digital storytelling, has also written and co-authored thought leadership content around digital marketing and social strategy, which has elevated the global debate on a number of issues, including digital marketing, tablets, and augmented and virtual reality technology.
